For the first single, Pearl Jam’s “Even Flow” is reimagined as Generation Y transforms the grunge classic into a jazz-fusion performance live at Musora Studios. Led by Ulysses Owens Jr., the band dives into improvisation, Afro-Latin grooves, montuno breakdowns, and fantastic solos while breaking down the creative process behind their upcoming album Kind of Grunge: a jazz tribute to the Seattle sound inspired by Miles Davis’ Kind of Blue. The group reflects on the shared DNA between jazz and grunge, the musical lineage that shaped them, and why jazz is one of the most collaborative musical languages on earth.
