Which Sound From Your Speaker Is Best?

When we are discussing Tone from an amplifier, it’s important to understand that it is a spectrum and not a single point, for example exactly where you sit will determine the kind of frequencies you are receiving from the speaker and the room. Another classic Chappers and the Captain video had Andertons where we tested a couple of different speakers inside the same amplifier. 

MIKU Destroys All

I’m not sure Who thought this was a good idea, but it was either Chappers or the Captain at Andertons that one classic time when they connected roughly 50 effects pedals together to see what it would sound like. Of course the Miku totally destroyed them all with its meow!! Ha ha 

Ancient Guitar Buying Wisdom 

15 years ago I had some advice for anyone looking to purchase a Guitar from a physical store. I still stand by this advice, it’s important to be brave and just play the guitar as naturally as possible so that you can really get a feel for whether it works for you after all you are spending your money. 

Can Chappers Play With 2MM of WHAT?

Chappers and the Captain at Anderton’s putting a whole bunch of Guitar pics through their paces every kind of conceivable material including 2 mm of felt which Robe discovered was particularly difficult to play with!

Does Hand Wired REALLY Make Any Difference? 

Does it really make any difference? Whether an amplifier is hand wired or PCB, in my opinion? It does not make any difference to the Sound but it does make a difference to how easy it is to repair the amplifier. For example the component choice is exactly the same it would make more difference if you altered the Tone settings by even 2%.
