Best Rolling Stones Riffs from "Some Girls"

The Rolling Stones album "Some Girls" was released in 1978 and was both a critical and commercial success. The album marked a departure from the band's previous work, incorporating elements of punk and disco into their signature blues-rock sound. But as guitar players, the main thing we remember this album for is the iconic riffs. If you take a look at the track list from "Some Girls," you'll quickly notice why this album is so well known for its guitar work, and in this video, you’ll join Ayla as you take a closer look at three of the best guitar moments from the album. These riffs are from the songs "Miss You," "Beast of Burden," and "Shattered."  Download the tabs for this lesson here: ► https://ift.tt/kqte0bW Ready to level up your playing? 5 Levels Of "Jingle Bell Rock"

The Holidays are here, and we’re not wasting any time! In this lesson, Ayla Tesler-Mabe dives into the Christmas classic “Jingle Bell Rock” by Bobby Helms. Just like our other “5 Levels” videos, we’ll be making our way through the song at five different difficulties. Beyond the basic chording and strumming techniques you already know, you’ll need to be ready to play a handful of new chord shapes, double-stops, triads, and even some slides. We’ll kick things off by simply learning the open chords used in this song, which are D major, E minor, and A major. As you progress through the levels, you’ll add a strumming pattern, some chord movements to add colour and highlight the melody, and you’ll even learn the leads, shots, and fills. Once you reach level five, you’ll combine the rhythm and lead guitar parts to play the entire song! It’s a challenge, but if you take it one level at a time, you’ll be playing “Jingle Bell Rock” just like the original recording in no time! 5 Levels Of "Sweet Home Alabama"

There are a few songs that can be considered rites of passage for guitarists. One of these is the Lynyrd Skynyrd classic “Sweet Home Alabama.” Released on the band’s 1974 album Second Helping, it is considered by many to be one of the greatest southern rock songs of all time. “Sweet Home Alabama” isn’t overly complicated to play on guitar, and even if you’re only ready for level one, you’ll still be able to play along with the original recording! If you want to get people up on their feet, dancing and singing along, it’s a tune that’s hard to beat. Download the tabs here: ► https://ift.tt/A2duQ3p Ready to level up your playing? The Best Rolling Stones Riffs from "Sticky Fingers"

In this lesson, Ayla dives into two of the most iconic guitar riffs from The Rolling Stones’ 1971 studio album Sticky Fingers. Considered by many to be one of their best albums, it’s packed full of incredible guitar work by Keith Richards and Mick Taylor. The two songs we’ll be looking at are “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” and “Bitch”. To play the riffs from these songs, you’ll have to be familiar with a few important guitar techniques like bending, sliding, and double-stops. On top of that, you’ll also need to change the tuning of your guitar to “open G” for the first riff, so make sure you have your tuner handy! Aeromancy Was Uploaded 10 Years Ago Today

Aeromancy changed our lives forever. I was in my 30’s, knew absolutely nothing about business, Chapman had one guitar released, I was living in Wiltshire, lots of debt and I had just met some of the greatest musicians I have ever played with. These guys had absolutely no idea where their lives would take them, I am utterly grateful to have been blessed with such an amazing journey and can’t thank enough everyone who supported me/us over this amazing decade of self discovery and music. Thanks for everything @RobChappers

You've Got to Hide Your Love Away by The Beatles - Acoustic Guitar Classics

Learn how to play songs faster with our interactive practice tool inside the Guitareo members’ area. Start your 7-day free trial by heading to https://ift.tt/nVQetdm In this lesson, Ayla Tesler-Mabe teaches You’ve Got to Hide Your Love Away by The Beatles. This acoustic classic was written by John Lennon (though credited to Lennon/McCartney) and was inspired by the works of Bob Dylan. If you want to get the exact feel of the original recording, you’ll need a 12-string guitar. You’ll also notice when playing along to the track that things sound a little out of tune. That’s because the track is actually a little bit flatter than standard tuning. Download the tabs: https://ift.tt/R4NZYik #thebeatles #acoustic #aylateslermabe ______________________________________________________ Chapters 0:00 - Hello, Internet! 1:07 - The strumming pattern 3:11 - The intro 4:22 - The verse 12:27 - The chorus 16:14 - The melody 17:43 - Final thoughts ______________________________________________________ About Ayla Tesler-Mabe: Ayla has been making waves in the world of guitar playing as a professional guitarist, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and composer, since the early age of 14. After only been playing for two years, her first YouTube video (a rendition of John Mayall’s “Hideaway”) put her on the map and kickstarted her music career. She has since been featured in Rolling Stone magazine, become a member of the Ernie Ball and Fender family of artists, and earned various Berklee College of Music scholarships. Musically, Ayla finds great pleasure in exploring the numerous avenues available to her through various styles of music, as seen through her work with Calpurnia and Ludic. Start your 7-day free trial here: https://ift.tt/bhaEIQA Father’s Day is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing: Dad rock. Now, dad rock can mean a few different things, but ultimately, it’s the rock music that makes up your dad’s old record collection. It’s important to note that this music isn’t exclusively consumed by dads, as the genre contains some of the most iconic classic rock songs of all time. So in this lesson, Ayla (not a dad) will show you how to play six of her favorite dad rock riffs from the 1970s. There are a ton of incredible dad rock riffs out there, but the six riffs we’ll be looking at in this video are “All Right Now” by Free, “Life In The Fast Lane” by the Eagles, “China Grove” by The Doobie Brothers, “Jet Airliner” by the Steve Miller Band, “Highway To Hell” by AC/DC, and “La Grange” by ZZ Top.
