Bel Reimagined the Blink-182 Classic #musora #bel #blink182
For this episode of Covers On The Spot, we threw Blink-182’s “Stay Together for the Kids” at Bel and her bandmates. The band experimented with fingerpicked intros, shifting energy arcs, instrument swaps, and even called in a last-minute bassist to keep the low end alive. This episode is a reminder that the best covers don’t come from copying the original; they come from musicians trusting their instincts and letting collaboration do the heavy lifting.

Turning a Frank Ocean track into an alt-rock banger #musora #pointnorth #frankocean
Point North joined us in Studio 2 at EastWest, the same room where Frank Ocean tracked “Super Rich Kids", and promptly deconstructed it on the spot. With no preparation and an afternoon for their rearrangement, they rebuilt the song from the ground up as an alt-rock track befitting their own eclectic catalogue. With reverence for the original, the band was fearless enough to turn Frank Ocean’s laid-back satire into something new.
